Getting ready to apply for York University as an international student from India?

Here’s everything you need to know about the admission requirements.
Grade Average
To be considered at York University, you should be graduating Grade XII with a minimum overall average of 60%. However, some programs will require a higher average. You can read more about the requirements for your program here. Please keep in mind that your prerequisite courses should not be lower than 55%.
Required Documents
For your offer to be reviewed for a conditional offer of admission, you will require these documents:
- XII Predicted Grades
- Grade X Certificate
- Grade XI Final Transcript
Based on your academic background, you may be required to include other documents. Please check your MyFile to determine if you will need to include more. After you apply to York University, these documents should be uploaded to your MyFile account. You will have to wait 4-8 weeks after ALL documents are submitted before you know the school’s decision.
Language Proficiency Requirements
In order to gain admission at one of York University’s campuses, you must demonstrate a level of language proficiency in your chosen program’s language of instruction. All programs taught at Keele Campus are offered in English. All programs at York’s Glendon Campus are taught bilingually in both English and French. However, meeting the minimum language requirements will NOT guarantee full admission.
